Child Identification Program
NEBRASKA FREEMASONS’ CHILD IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM AVAILABLE AT YORKFEST
The York Masonic Lodge in cooperation with the York County Sheriff’s Department, Nebraska Dental Association, and the Nebraska Dental Hygienists Association invite you and your children to participate in the Nebraska FreeMasons’ Child Identification Program (CHIP) on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 4:00-8:00PM during Yorkfest. It will take place at the Yorkshire Playhouse, located at 513 N Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467.
Digital Photo, interview and fingerprints on DVD, toothprints and DNA cheek swabs of each child are provided at no charge to the parents.
- Fingerprints will be taken digitally.
- A toothprint impression and DNA cheek swab will be taken. (Developed by a pediatric dentist. Toothprints provide another means of tracking and identifying a child that fingerprinting alone may not guarantee.)
- A brief interview will be done, as well as a digital photograph taken.
- Materials are also provided for the at-home generation of pure scent pads for use in canine search and rescue.
All identification materials are given to the parents, with instructions for safekeeping. No copies, except the parent permission form, are kept on file with any sponsoring organization. A parent or guardian is required to be present to sign the permission form.
