Heartland FBLA members at the 2016 Peru State College Business Competition.

    Sixteen Heartland FBLA members participated in the Peru State College Business Competition on February 10.  This business competition gave the Heartland FBLA members the opportunity to take practice tests to prepare for the State Leadership Conference held in Omaha on April 7-9.  Tests were taken in the following areas:  Accounting, Business Communication, Business Law, Business Math, Computer Concepts, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Business, Keyboarding I Objective, Keyboarding I Skills, Marketing and Personal Finance.

    The following seven members won nine awards:  Leslie Braun:  1^st Business Law and 1^st Computer Concepts; Owen Wurst:  1^st Entrepreneurship; Kristina Rowe:  1^st Keyboarding I Skills; Haley Huebert:  2^nd Economics and 2^nd Marketing; Aaron Buller:  3^rd Accounting; Jason Burhoop:  4^th Marketing; and Ethan Hall:  4^th Personal Finance.
