PEO Chapter A: 2 scholarships available for York County graduating senior girls. Deadline is March 6, 2023.

American Legion Auxiliary Post #19 Scholarship:  this $500 scholarship is for males or females in York County who plan to attend a Nebraska college or university. Turn completed applications in to me by March 6. 

York Elks Lodge Scholarship: recipients will be judged on academics, activities and leadership, and financial need. Deadline: March 10, 2023.

SYA Tractor Club Scholarship: 2 $500 scholarships will be awarded to students planning to enter an AG related field of study. Deadline: March 10, 2023.

Lincoln Community Foundation Scholarships: this Foundation administers more than 90 different scholarships - many of which are for students who live outside of Lincoln/Lancaster County. Almost $600,000 is awarded to 300 students. Check your email for directions on how to apply. Most deadlines are March 15.

Cornerstone Bank scholarship: To be eligible, students must be a Heartland senior planning to attend a post secondary institution. Interviews will be held with all applicants. Turn in completed applications to Mrs. Koehler. Deadline is March 15, 2023.

Nebraska Press Association Scholarship: must be planning to major in community-based journalism or agriculture communications. Deadline: March 17.

Mildred Sterner Baker Scholarship: One York County girl and one boy will be selected for this $780 scholarship. Eligibility based on character, church and religious interest and ambition. High scholastic standing is not necessary. Deadline for application is March 17. Have your application to Mrs. Koehler by March 13th if you want her to mail it in. 

Better Business Bureau Student of Integrity Scholarship: Recognizes high school students who exemplify ethical behavior and personal integrity, and who demonstrate humility, courage, compassion and respect for their peers, teachers and community — values of the BBB.​ ​Deadline: March 24

Burke Scholarship: to be eligible, students must plan to attend a college or university in Nebraska and plan for a career in natural resources or related fields. Access the application here: https://www.upperbigblue.org/education/scholarships. Deadline: March 24.

Henderson Community Foundation Scholarship: one application makes you eligible for 3 scholarships. Deadline: April 1. 

The Davis Chambers Scholarship Program has been established to recognize academically promising students from diverse backgrounds who plan to attend a community college in Nebraska.  Awardees will receive up to $2,000.00 per academic year. Deadline: April 1. 

HEA Scholarship: HEA will give out 2 $500 scholarships to Heartland seniors. You don't have to be going into education to apply, but applicants who are will receive a couple extra points in scoring. Requires 2 letters of reference. Share completed apps with Mrs Koehler. Deadline: April 3.

Ott Family scholarship: This scholarship is for HCS students who plan to enter the fields of health science or education. Deadline: April 3. 

Henderson State Bank Scholarship: Students must plan to go into a field employable in a rural community and a short essay is required. Applications can be dropped off at the bank or mailed, just make sure they arrive by the deadline of April 11. 

James M. Cox Foundation scholarship: this is a $2,000 need based scholarship. Must plan to attend a Nebraska institution of higher education. Deadline: April 15. 

VanKirk Bros. Contracting Construction Trades Scholarship: must plan to continue education in a construction related field including Heavy Equipment Operator, CDL Truck Driver, Diesel Technology, & Construction Management. Deadline: April 15.

Jim Johnson Scholarship: for this $500 scholarship, students must plan to major in a physical science area. Deadline for application is April 30.

Van Kirk Bros. Contracting Diesel Technology Student Sponsorship & Internship Program: This is a partnership with CCC Hastings, Southeast Community College & Metro Community College for students interested in obtaining an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technology. Applications due May 1. 

Balanced Man Scholarship: 4 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to male students attending UNL. Apply at https://nebraska.sigep.org/bms/. Deadline: May 7, 2023.
