HCS Fifth Grader Top Ten Finalist in Essay Contest
Heartland student Tynslee Ogorzolka was a top 10 finalist in the 2026 American Mother's Fifth Grade Essay Contest, "What My Mother Means to Me."
She received the award on Friday, February 27, at the Nebraska State Capitol.
Receiving the award with Tynslee were her grandma, great-grandma, and a family friend.
Fifth grade teacher Tara Maltsberger facilitates her students entering the competition, and she has had a top 10 finalist for the past 13 years.
