FBLA Members compete at the Peru State College Business Contest

    Fifteen Heartland FBLA members competed at the Peru State College Business Contest on February 13.  This business competition gave the Heartland FBLA members the opportunity to take practice tests to prepare for the State Leadership Conference held in Omaha on April 4-6.  Tests were taken in the following areas:  Accounting, Business Communication, Business Ethics, Business Law, Business Math, Computer Concepts, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Business, Keyboarding, Marketing, Personal Finance, Web Page Design, and Word Processing.  The following students attended the competition:  Ashley Brown, Kaelyn Buller, Timberly Carr, Cindy Cerveny, Tobin Glinsmann, Ellyn Hall, Jade Hiebner, Grace Janzen, Elizabeth Mestl, Colton Monnier, Dawson Ohrt, Odessa Ohrt, Cooper Regier, Wyatt Regier and Kale Wetjen.

 

    The following seven members won ten awards:  Colton Monnier 2nd place Marketing and 3rdplace Economics; Timberly Carr 3rd place Advanced Accounting; Grace Janzen 5th place Business Ethics; Odessa Ohrt 3rd place Marketing and 5th place Personal Finance; Elizabeth Mestl 3rd place Keyboarding Skills; Dawson Ohrt 3rd place Word Processing; and Kale Wetjen 4th place Business Math and 5th place Introduction to Business.
