FBLA Fall Leadership Conference
The Nebraska FBLA Fall Leadership Conference was held on September 28 in Kearney. The conference was a one-day workshop for FBLA officers and members. The Nebraska state officers shared the 2020-2021 state goals during the Opening General Session. The keynote speaker was Kevin Kush, an educator and coach at Boys Town High School. He shared his expertise in team building and motivation based on his recent book titled, “A Piece of the Puzzle: 8 Traits of a Quality Teammate.”
After the Opening General Sessions, the officers and members attended workshops presented by the FBLA state officers, UNK PBL Chapter, Foundation Marketing Committee, and many department representatives from UNK (Center for Entrepreneurship and Rural Development, Financial Aid, Dean of the College of Business & Technology, and Career Center). Topics included Leadership in Laymen’s Terms, Utilizing State Officers, Connect with Business, Kickstarting your Future, Memorable Media, Lead 4 Change, Earn all the Ribbons, The Psychology of Money, The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create It, Jump Start your Career with Internships, and the Nebraska FBLA Foundation Trust.
