FBLA members compete at the Peru State College Business Contest
Twenty-two Heartland FBLA members competed at the Peru State College Business Contest on February 16. This business competition gave the Heartland FBLA members the opportunity to take practice tests to prepare for the State Leadership Conference held during the month of April. Tests were taken in the following areas: Accounting, Business Communication, Business Ethics, Business Law, Business Math, Computer Concepts, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Business, Keyboarding, Marketing, Personal Finance, and Word Processing. The following students attended the competition: Cynthia Cerveny, Ella Friesen, Elizabeth Mestl, Dawson Ohrt, Abigael Stebbing, Kaylee Goertzen, Hayden Mierau, Naomi Onnen, Hunter Perez, Hudson Regier, Reese Regier, Ava Stebbing, Hendric Switzer, Mariah Tessman, Nicholas Thieszen, Jaelyn Brown, Brady Goertzen, Lydia Jahnke, Isabel Johnson, Siddalee Kliewer, Weston Ohrt and Austin Schmidt.
The following 9 members won 10 top ten awards: Dawson Ohrt – 1st Marketing; Austin Schmidt – 1stIntroduction to Business; Abigael Stebbing – 3rd Marketing and 9th Business Communications; Hendric Switzer – 4th Accounting; Nick Thieszen – 5th Accounting; Kaylee Goertzen – 7th Accounting; Mariah Tessman – 7th Word Processing; Reese Regier – 10th Word Processing; Weston Ohrt – 10th Introduction to Business.
