The Heartland Quiz Bowl Teams traveled to Seward on Wednesday, May 7, to attend the "Underclassmen" tournament held at Living Word Lutheran Church. The morning started with a round-robin tournament in which both of the Heartland teams finished with a 2-1 record. After lunch, the twenty teams in the small school division were placed in a single-elimination tournament where the A team was seeded 5th and the B team was seeded 10th.

Both of the Heartland teams faced tough competition in their first round and the A team lost their match against the team from BDS by one question 105-115. 

The B team faced the A team from Friend for a rematch of their first match of the day and ended up falling during the second meeting. 

Both teams ended the tournament with a 2-2 record, and Heartland looks forward to a great year in 2025-2026.
