FBLA MEMBERS COMPETE VIRTUALLY - PERU STATE COLLEGE BUSINESS CONTEST
Twenty-three Heartland FBLA members competed virtually in the Peru State College Business Contest on February 3-5. This business competition gave the Heartland FBLA members the opportunity to take practice tests to prepare for the State Leadership Conference held during the month of March. Tests were taken in the following areas: Accounting, Business Communication, Business Ethics, Business Law, Business Math, Computer Concepts, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Business, Marketing, Personal Finance, and Word Processing. The following students attended the competition: Ellyn Hall, Dawson Ohrt, Kale Wetjen, Liliana Alvarez, Tucker Bergen, Lilly Carr, Eloise Casper, Riley Goertzen, Felicity Johnson, Owen Mierau, Trev Peters, Garett Regier, Ava Tessman, Kaylee Goertzen, Hayden Mierau, Naomi Onnen, Hunter Perez, Hudson Regier, Reese Regier, Ava Stebbing, Hendric Switzer, Mariah Tessman, and Nicholas Thieszen.
During the awards program on February 10, the following 8 members won 11 awards: Ellyn Hall – 1st place Business Ethics and 5th place Personal Finance; Dawson Ohrt 2nd Personal Finance and 4th Computer Concepts; Kale Wetjen 3rd Business Law and 3rd Economics; Felicity Johnson 2nd Accounting; Kaylee Goertzen 1st Word Processing; Hendric Switzer 4th Introduction to Business; Mariah Tessman 3rdIntroduction to Business; and Nicholas Thieszen 2nd Introduction to Business.
