Two HCS Students Selected for "Youth Salute"
Launch the media gallery 1 playerCongratulations to Siddalee Kliewer and Lydia Jahnke for being selected as the Greater Omaha-Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership "Youth Salute." Scholarship opportunities that totaled $4,885,000 were provided to the Class of 2025.
The purpose of the program is to honor high school juniors who maintain a high scholastic average and have demonstrated leadership ability.
The “Youth Salute” has been an approved program by the National Association of Secondary School Principals for over 40 years.
The Greater Omaha Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership is currently requesting applications for the Class of 2026 "Youth Salute". To qualify, a student must: (1) Be a high school junior (Class of 2026), (2) Have a cumulative 3.0 G.P.A or higher through their sophomore year, and (3) Have held two leadership roles to which their peers or an adult leader chose within the past two years in school, religious, or community sponsored organizations. Applications for the Class of 2026 are due December 15th, 2024.
