FFA Held Auction and Awards on April 16
On April 16, 2026, the Heartland FFA tried something new by holding their Silent Auction and Banquet on the same night. The plan worked great and drew a good crowd.
The night started in the South Gym with the Silent Auction. Every FFA member contributed to the auction, providing gift baskets, homemade ag projects, or offering labor. While people shopped and bid, the FFA Booster Club served a hamburger dinner for the chapter and guests.
After eating, the group moved to the theater for the awards ceremony. It was a busy year, and many students were recognized for their hard work at fairs and competitions. Some of the big moments included:
- Freshman receiving their Greenhand Degrees
- Sophomores earning their Chapter Degrees
- Seniors being honored for receiving their State Degrees
- Braden Janzen winning the FFA Booster Club Scholarship
The night ended with the naming of the new Chapter Officers for next year. A few of the retiring officers gave a small speech, and installed the new officers for the 2026-2027 school year.
